She has a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Quaternary Studies: Environmental Changes and the Human Footprint’ from the Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.

At the same time, she has taken part in various archaeological excavations in the Basque Country.

During her doctoral studies, she focused her research on archaeoanthracology and on the study of sedimentary macrocharcoal, which is an indicator of the incidence of paleofires.
